Cricut Cupcake Wrappers and Robotz

Although I really love hosting Superbowl, I don't actually watch football; so today while the boys watched football us girls had margaritas and received a Cricut tutorial from my friend Isela. I was really interested in trying the Cricut Cupcake Wrappers cartridge and of course the Cricut Robotz cartridge; one of my coworkers has every Cricut cartridge imaginable and was nice enough to let me borrow them while I'm still fostering my friend Patty's Cricut machine. I loved the cupcake wraps and the robots will be a perfect addition to JD's 2nd birthday party decor. We had so much fun and can't wait until our next crafty get-together, thanks Izzy!

Minnie Mouse Invitation

I finally had a chance to finish Sel and Eve's Minnie Mouse invitations and I have to admit they are very adorable, that Cricut machine really does work wonders. Here's a little peek!

Minnie Mouse Invitations: Part 2

This is definitely my favorite part of the Minnie Mouse invitations, the bow! I made each bow by hand and glued a small hair clip to the back of each one; the bows will be clipped onto the invitation and each guest will be able to wear their very own Minnie Mouse hair clip to the party!

Minnie Mouse Invitations: Part 1

My goddaughters Sel and Eve are having a Minnie Mouse themed birthday party in December and I of course am in charge of the invites! Every year I look forward to making their invitations because I get to be as creative as I want to be and this year is no exception. The minute I found out Minnie Mouse was the theme of this year’s party, I called JD’s Nina Patty and asked if I could borrow her Cricut Machine and tonight she gave me my first Cricut lesson; I’m so hooked!

Damask Baptism Favors and Centerpieces

JD's Baptism is two days away and I'm almost done with all my little projects. I wanted a damask theme and had such a hard time finding things that matched, so I  decided to do it all myself, thank God we're doing something small, because this can be time consuming!

Little hands!

They’re only little once, and while they’re so small, you’ll want to capture each moment, but that is not always easy with a squirmy 15 week old. For weeks I have tried to make a impression in plaster of JD's adorable little hand, but had the worst of luck. The first kit I tried dried too quickly, the second one I tried was a huge mess, just as I was getting ready to give up I found Lil' Hands Keepsake Kit.

This kit is amazing, it has separate clay for the hand impression (you can remold if you make a mistake), and the plaster only took 4 minutes to prepare. I bought this kit at Joann Fabrics and with a coupon I paid around six dollars for it, and 24 hours later...
