Downtown Los Angeles Art Walk

On Thursday the hubby, Javy, the Garcia foodies and myself headed to the Downtown Los Angeles Art Walk. The Art Walk is held every 2nd Thursday of every month from 12pm-9pm and they have recently included a Mobile Food Court, that is delicious and addicting; I don't know which we enjoyed more, the Galleries or the food! Here's a sneak peek, but you definitely need to visit for yourself and did I mention the Art Walk is free!

Basketball Themed Party Favors

My friend Gigi loved JD's birthday party favors and tags; so, for her son's 1st birthday party (Lakers theme) she was interested in purchasing gumball machines and wanted me to make her tags too. After months of searching for gumball machines (for JD's party), I knew exactly what she needed; these adorable Slam Dunk Basketball Gumball Dispensers from the Candy Warehouse.

I added these homemade tags and
voila “Basketball Themed Party Favors”!

Lately JD keeps sneaking into the kitchen (he's already figured out how to open the gate) and I thought it would be funny to catch him in the act; so this is JD's "I just got caught face", how could I ever get mad at him, with a face like that.

Fourth of July 2010

This Fourth of July we were really looking forward to taking JD to see the fireworks; we were also a little worried that he would be scarred but he loved every moment of the show and has being saying boom-boom every since!
