Outdoor Cinema Food Fest

Hubby works in Downtown Los Angeles, so he's always finding really interesting places to visit and things to do! Last weekend we attended the Outdoor Cinema Food Fest  at Grand Hope Park and I wanted to share some information and a few pictures of this fabulous summer event.

Outdoor Cinema Food Fest is a summer event series featuring outdoor movies, live music and gourmet food trucks in rotating parks throughout Los Angeles.  Dedicated to creating and nurturing a community of entertainment and food enthusiasts, Outdoor Cinema Food Fest promotes a cool environment to kick back and relax.  Watch movies on the LARGEST outdoor movie screen on the west coast, standing three stories tall and 52 feet wide.

Introducing new food trucks every week, Outdoor Cinema Food Fest is the perfect opportunity to try something deliciously different.  It’s the ultimate picnic - no basket required!
So if you’re looking for something fun to do this summer, I totally recommend stopping by. The food and atmosphere are great and depending on the movie being featured the environment is super kid friendly!

Downtown Los Angeles Art Walk

On Thursday the hubby, Javy, the Garcia foodies and myself headed to the Downtown Los Angeles Art Walk. The Art Walk is held every 2nd Thursday of every month from 12pm-9pm and they have recently included a Mobile Food Court, that is delicious and addicting; I don't know which we enjoyed more, the Galleries or the food! Here's a sneak peek, but you definitely need to visit for yourself and did I mention the Art Walk is free!

L.A. Food Trucks: Cupcakes a GoGo

If you live in Southern California, you probably already know that there's a food truck for almost every type of cuisine you can imagine and even some you can't! Upon exiting the Mayan Thursday night after hooting and hollering for our favorite Luchadores at Lucha VaVoom, we were greeted by LA's cutest cupcake truck, Cupcakes a GoGo. This truck is absolutely charming, their packaging is really top notch and best of all their cupcakes are “delicious”, we tried their red velvet cupcake with yummy cream cheese frosting and the only regret I have, is that I only bought one. Like most L.A. food trucks, you can follow Cupcakes a GoGo on twitter @cupcakesagogola to find their current location and you might even see us there!
