Clear Cupcake Favors

I've been working on a few new items for the shop and I'm hoping that by the end of the month I will have them all listed on Etsy and posted on the Quaintly Amusing website! I did want to share one new item that I will list this weekend, clear cupcake favors! Each favor will come with a cupcake cup, a lid and a super cute wooden spoon. You will also be able to add cupcake liners and ribbon to your order. Here's a sneak peek!

Quaintly Amusing Sneak Peek

For a couple of months now I've (with a whole lot of help from Kristin from Simply Klassic Design) been working on a new project and I think it may finally be time for a sneak peek, it's a brand spanking new site called Quaintly Amusing! This new site will not only feature charming details and decor from Quaintly Amusing Etsy Shop, but will also feature charming details and decor from other amazingly talented people and shops. I'm hoping to have the website up and running by the end of the week, but I wanted to give everyone a chance to start getting their charming details and decor submissions ready! Stay tuned...

Plastic French Bottles

After finding the plastic soda pop bottles for JD's birthday party, I realized that there were so many other great bottles being used for kids parties that would be so much easier and safer to work with if they were plastic! One bottle that I personally love and plan on using for my friend's baby shower are the super cute French bottles. It took me a while to find just the right ones, but I finally did and they arrived yesterday! As you may have already guessed I will be adding these 8oz plastic French bottles to Quaintly Amusing very soon!

Candy Tube Favors

I really can't explain why I've been feeling so crafty lately, but I'm just going to enjoy it and get as much done while I can! I really love the idea of candy tubes as party favors and when I ordered JD's plastic soda pop bottles I also decided to order clear tubes and try out a favor design for a friend's party in a few months. I was really amazed at how simply a clear tube, candy, ribbon and a label can turn into a perfectly sweet party favor. So here is my very first candy tube favor design!

I will also be adding these clear candy tubes to Quaintly Amusing very soon!

TPPM: Kid Friendly Soda Pop Bar

I've come across so many cute ideas for JD's 2nd birthday party but one that I really wanted to try is a Soda Pop Bar! JD isn't allowed to drink soda but he does love to drink sparkling water (which he thinks is soda), so I thought I would start with that and add some naturally flavored syrups to make his very on Soda Pop Bar. Then came the hard part, finding bottles; every soda pop bar I've come across has large glass bottles, not exactly a good idea for a two year old, so I started searching for an alternative and I found one. I found 8oz plastic bottles that fit perfectly and also safely in a toddlers hands and they arrived last Friday! So this weekend I began working on a sample soda pop bottle for JD's birthday party and here it is.

I will also be adding these kid friendly bottles to Quaintly Amusing very soon!

I have always loved balloons and my love of balloons has definitely rubbed off on JD, he goes crazy over them. For his 1st birthday we had tons of balloons as part of his party decor and he really loved them. I have recently become completely obsessed with big round balloons; so this year for JD's 2nd birthday party I ordered about a dozen of these 36 inch round balloons in lime green and red, I can't wait until he sees them!

I am happy to announce that after countless trials and much hard work hunting for the perfect party supplies and decor, I have decided to offer my “quaintly amusing” finds for all to buy!

Planning the perfect party isn’t easy and surely enough accessorizing your perfect day can be daunting. Finding all the right accessories at one store is impossible. In fact, those perfect party gems or “quaintly amusing” treasures are often scattered amongst thousands of distributors, stores and sites. As a purveyor of quirky, unique and fun party supplies, I only feel it’s fair to pass these goodies along to be enjoyed and cherished by others.

The Quaintly Amusing  Story
I’m a bit of a scavenger hunter and I love finding party supplies, especially items that no one would every necessarily consider using as part of a party. After planning my son's 1st birthday party I received tons of emails and requests from party planning moms looking for some of the same products and vendors I used. The majority of the time, I’m asked if there are any leftover items that I would be willing to sell; and the answer is yes, I do! 

I have affectionately named my new shop Quaintly Amusing and I will be selling party supplies and party decor. To me, Quaintly Amusing is the expression of the precious moments created by the unique décor and accessories used to detail a party in order for it to come to life. I love party planning and I appreciate the memories created by the special accents of whimsy. Quaintly Amusing celebrates those extra touches. Quaintly Amusing celebrates the details.

I hope to eventually expand and have been getting some great advice from my friend and Marketing Consultant, Caroline. I already have a few things listed (mostly reserved listings) at my shop, but plan on adding a lot more items in the following few weeks. With Quaintly Amusing, I hope to provide the items, products and décor that will one day be part of everyone’s quaintly amusing party or event.
