IKEA Hackers

Now that we have our very own home we've literally become obsessed with home improvement (hubby) and home décor (me). I can't begin to tell you how many times a week we visit Home Depot, or how many hours we spend watching home improvement tutorials. Well, hubby and I are huge IKEA fans, when people ask us where did you get that, we usually answer “IKEA”! I recently stumbled onto a website called IKEA Hackers, this website is a place where people can post their IKEA hacks, creative people who have taken a simple piece or pieces of IKEA furniture and turned them into something useful, interesting or just plain awesome! I've been so inspired by IKEA Hackers that I have started my own little project which I hope to reveal in a few weeks; but for now here are a few of my favorite IKEA Hacks!

Mini-Burger Set with Patty Press

I guess my ability to find quirky items has finally rubbed off on my hubby! On Saturday we stopped by Ross in search of margarita glasses (which we didn't find) and hubby found this super cool Mini-Burger Set in their grilling section; the funny thing is that we had already purchased everything to make sliders for Superbowl Sunday. Instead of free forming the patties ourselves this handy set made it really easy to form and cook the burger patties and the sliders came out perfect. Thanks Mari for helping with the demonstration!

Mini-burgers are a huge hit! Same big burger taste on a little burger bun. A fun way to liven up a party, mini-burgers can be served as appetizers or as a main course. Small enough to allow guests to have all of their favorite burger toppings. Big enough for the heartiest appetite. This non-stick mini-burger basket grills 9 bite-sized burgers at a time. Basket is non-stick with locking hardwood handle. Includes single patty press, which is styled like a burger bun - sesame seeds and all. Concentric rings in the press help ensure even cooking with less sticking to the grill.

Features:
  • Made of non-stick coated steel
  • Locking hardwood handle
  • Allows you to flip all burgers at once
  • Min-burgers may be served as appetizers or main course
  • Includes single patty press
  • Size: 18"tall x 9"wide x 1 3/10"deep

Cricut Cupcake Wrappers and Robotz

Although I really love hosting Superbowl, I don't actually watch football; so today while the boys watched football us girls had margaritas and received a Cricut tutorial from my friend Isela. I was really interested in trying the Cricut Cupcake Wrappers cartridge and of course the Cricut Robotz cartridge; one of my coworkers has every Cricut cartridge imaginable and was nice enough to let me borrow them while I'm still fostering my friend Patty's Cricut machine. I loved the cupcake wraps and the robots will be a perfect addition to JD's 2nd birthday party decor. We had so much fun and can't wait until our next crafty get-together, thanks Izzy!

Our Little Monkey is a Famous! (well sorta)

A few months ago I sent a picture of JD in his 1st Halloween costume (a cute "Lil" Monkey) to Tom Arma who was requesting pictures of babies and toddlers wearing their costume line. Well today I received an email from Julie Arma and this is what she said!

Dear Adriana,

Julian is featured in our favorite photos album FB page http://www.facebook.com/pages/Tom-Arma-Official-Face-Book-Page/421354135480

Enjoy... Such a cute photo.
I'm such a proud mama and now I'm so glad I recently started a FB account too!
