This is Samantha Rae, the newest member of the Quaintly Garcia Family!  She was fashionably late, arriving on January 30th, 2015 at 12:55 pm (12 days past my due date).  She was 7lbs 14oz and 20 inches long.  We are completely in love with her, and look forward to sharing all her milestones and adventures with you!

Legoland California Hotel

Although our family has not had the privilege of visiting LEGOLAND California (yet), I am super excited about the new LEGOLAND Hotel opening tomorrow, April 5th.  Why, you ask?!  Well, this year we are skipping the birthday party and surprising our birthday boy with a 2 day trip to LEGOLAND, and we’ll be staying at the new LEGOLAND Hotel!

The LEGOLAND Hotel is located right at the main entrance of LEGOLAND California.  All 250 guest rooms are themed, so your family can choose from one of three popular LEGO lines – Pirate, Kingdom, or Adventure; we chose a pirate themed room.  Rooms include two separate sleeping areas, with a queen-size bed for grown-ups and a separate area for up to three little ones, complete with a bunk bed, pull-out trundle bed, and their very own TV!  As a special privilege, LEGOLAND Hotel guests will get entry to select LEGOLAND rides and attractions before the park officially opens.  We booked our room during their spring special, so JD gets to stay, play and eat for free!

We can’t wait to surprise him, especially since he is obsessed with Ninjago (Lego Ninjas) at the moment.  We even managed to find a bakery that will deliver a very special birthday cake to the LEGOLAND Hotel to make his birthday celebration complete! Stay tuned for pictures and a review in May.

Garcia Family

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year, our family sure did!  Now that 2013 has arrived I’ve decided to get back on track and find some time to blog and catch up on reading some of my favorite blogs too.  I thought I would start the year off by sharing our family pictures taken by the Kersti Kooiman.  We took these pictures back in November and it actually rained during our shoot. I really don’t know how Kersti does it, but even with the rain our pictures turned out amazing!

Baby Gender Reveal Photo Shoot

My best friend Angie is 4 months pregnant and last Thursday she found out she's having a boy! They have 3 beautiful girls, so a boy is definitely a welcome surprise. Angie was in such disbelief, she literally asked the tech 5 times, “Are you sure it's a boy?”

I came across some really great gender reveal pictures and shared them with Angie, so we decided a photo shoot would be a fun idea. I'm not a professional photographer, but I love taking and editing pictures. This weekend we did the photo shoot in my backyard. Angie and Alex used this opportunity not only to reveal the baby's gender to the girls, but also to share the news with their friends and family!

Knott's Berry Farm 2012

For JD's 3rd birthday last week we took him to Knott's Berry Farm for the very first time! We all had a blast and since it was the middle of the week the park wasn't crowded at all. JD was able to ride on his favorite rides more than once and he even got three picture opportunities with Snoopy!

JD is 3!

Three years ago today God blessed us with this amazing little boy! In the last year he has grown so much and developed such a personality (he reminds me so much of myself that sometimes it's scary). JD finds ways to make us laugh even when he's driving us crazy. He always knows just what to say and do to make you smile even on the worse days. I love him more than words can say and want to wish him a "Very Happy 3rd Birthday!"
